The Easton Rooms

Fronting onto the High Street (Number 107) and providing the main entrance into the Gallery, is the house named after Eileen Easton (1890-1965), a painter and founder Trustee. It was donated in her memory by her mother and is linked to the Stormont Studio by a new extension and link stairs with far-reaching views over the Rother estuary.

This part of the gallery is recognised nationally for its exciting, themed, selling exhibitions of work by high calibre artists and craftspeople. The Easton Rooms shows paintings, prints, photography, drawings, glass, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, wood and metalwork, by artists who are approved through the Rye Art Gallery selection process. Buyers are attracted from all over the world but visitors are also welcome just to browse and enjoy what they see.
