Picking up his first camera at a young age and growing up surrounded by the rural English countryside and coast, Jody quickly developed a love for landscape and seascape photography.
His bold work captures his eye. Jody believes in photography in its purest form, avoiding the overuse of editing or retouching techniques allowing his elegant work to speak for itself.
“I would not describe myself as a technical photographer. I try not to overthink my shots. I truly love the spontaneity of photography”.
“Shooting at different times of the year and of the day can have a dramatic effect on the final image. I enjoy exploring the differences in light/shadow and the change in the coastal tides and what that might reveal.”
“Scale is also an important factor to my work, in order for my prints to have the impact that I am looking for they are printed on a large scale”.
"The Kent and Sussex coast holds a special place in my heart. This series of Dungeness images evoke fond memories for me and are locations I will always return to”.
All prints are created using Giclée printing.
