The Easton Rooms is recognised nationally for its exciting selling exhibitions. It has six to seven exhibitions annually, which incorporates our hugely popular Summer and Christmas Shows. There are dedicated shows of fine art and craft.

An Exploration of the Potential of Textile Techniques to Create Three-Dimensional Structures.

This is a project originally conceived towards the end of Simon’s time studying Textile Design at the University of Derby. The premise of the project was, and remains, to explore the potential of woven textile techniques to create three-dimensional forms, whilst retaining the qualities of softness and pliability usually associated with a woven fabric.

Winchelsea Beach by Sarah Palmer

Denise Franklin, Keiran D'Arcy and Sarah Palmer join together to visually describe what they see when out walking in the countryside surrounding Rye, Fairlight and Hastings.

Furniture, sculptures, paintings, drawings and ceramics will be used to show the landscapes and seascapes at different times of the day.

Janet Crosby has created a collection of work, which may or may not be based on true stories, actual occurrences or dreams.

David W Slack presents an alphabet of fact and fable, of portraits real and imagined, each large as life and twice as lovely.

Our regular exciting and packed Summer Show, featuring work in jewellery, wood, metal, ceramics, glass, paper, textiles, paintings and prints. There will be work from artists which have never exhibited in the Gallery before, and regular favourites.

This exhibition shows the extraordinary work in paper by the following artists:
Josh Baum, Eleanor Cardwell, Sher Christopher, Lorna Crabbe, Suzanne Juta, Sarah Kelly, Oona Patterson, Alix Swan and Richard Sweeney.

Julian Hanshaw, an award-winning local illustrator, will be exhibiting works from his graphic novel 'The Art Of Pho', due to be published by Random House in July 2010.

To accompany these artists are photographs by Anthony Gomez, Peter Greenhalf and Mark Hawksbridge.
