The photographic image has always been important in my work, whatever the medium of the finished piece. In the digital age everybody is a photographer. I am more interested in the processes of reproduction by which the digital image becomes "real", three-dimensional and can be handled. Sometimes the resulting piece remains faithful to the original image; often it is reworked and distorted or lost altogether. I work in a number of mediums, printing or reworking images onto wood, ceramics, papers and cloths.
