"After working intensely with sculpture, multimedia and installation, I began a few years ago to discover my love for still lives. Painting a picture which doesn't have to be anything else than beautiful. At its best creating a kind of inspiring, wondering or calming atmosphere...how liberating! Nowadays such a thing seems almost to be an anachronism, – nevertheless it possibly reflects a yearning of many hearts...

In the beginning the still lives offered the possibility to play with different perspectives and were an overwhelming celebration of abundance with their fruity, juicy, colorfulness: Kitchen Pictures.
My move to the coast of South England brought me to new inspirations. The subtle colors, the sensitive light and the beauty and fragility of the found objects on my walks along the beaches let me create another form of celebration – pure simplicity: Beach Pictures."
