Robert Greenhalf

I work mainly in watercolour and oils and I also produce limited editions of woodcuts and drypoints, mainly of wildlife and landscape subjects.  My passionate interest in wildlife, particularly birds, has been life-long, and I place great emphasis on observing and sketching in the field, attempting to capture the effects of light and of movement.

I was elected a member of the SWLA (Society of Wildlife Artists) in 1981, and of the RBA (Royal Society of British Artists) in 1982.  I was a member of the Artists for Nature Foundation groups which visited Poland, Extramadura, and Wexford, and I also took part in SWLA Projects in the New Forest and on the West Coast of Scotland.  My work has been exhibited throughout the UK, also in Eire, France, Holland, Switzerland, Spain, the USA and Canada, and is in public and private collections throughout the World.  Galleries regularly showing my work include The Wildlife Art Gallery, Lavenham, Bircham Contemporary Arts in Holt, Norfolk, and Aldeburgh Contemporary Arts in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
